Parthenon Tour: Acropolis and Acropolis Museum

Acropolis (5th Century BC) has always been the fortress and the most important religious centre of ancient Athens. It is the absolute symbol of the grandeur of Greek civilisation and its achievements. The Acropolis Museum, the most impressive museum in Greece and regarded as one of the best ones in the world, houses the classical masterpieces from the Golden Age of Athens – The Age of Pericles. (494 BC to 429 BC). The museum building, opened in 2009, a major tourist attraction in itself, features exhibition areas with space and information, designed to give each artifact a clear historical context.
